MHS Rowing Sign Up
The spring rowing program is only available to students who attend Marietta High School or live in the school district and are in grades 9-12. Ideally, individuals who want to join the team in the spring would participate in the fall rowing program, but we understand if that is not feasible as many of our rowers also members of other MHS sports teams with fall seasons.

Practice

Practice begins in January and the season runs through May

Practices are held daily after school at the Broughton Boathouse which is located at 814 Gilman Ave, Marietta, Ohio 45750

Practices are mandatory and without valid excuse will result in the possibility of the rower losing their position to another qualified rower or coxswain

Rowing is unique in that travel is more extensive than most other sports. For regattas rowers will travel on the team bus, stay in a hotel 1-2 nights until regatta has concluded, and return on the team bus
Season Cost

Fee & Due Date: The cost for the MHS Rowing Club spring 2024 fee was $750 and was due in full by April 1. This fee is subject to change in 2025. This contributes to the cost of food, lodging for out-of-town regattas, equipment maintenance, and boathouse operations. Rowers can participate in fundraising to cover or lower the cost of their season fees.

Payments: Make checks payable to HRC and dropped off in the lock box at the boathouse.

Payment Plans: Contact HRC treasurer Sherry McKenzie for arrangements if you can't meet deadlines.

Non-Payment: If you fail to pay the dues or make arrangements your rower will not be permitted to practice, travel, or race in the regattas.
